The desktop version has been discontinued
AutoSoft Online for Windows is no longer sold, and maintenance time is no longer renewed. While your prepaid maintenance time is active, we still issue your activation file if you move to a new computer.
AutoSoft Web is the cloud version of that same program, built on twenty-six years of this trade. Moving is optional — but it is the only version we develop now.
Three things worth knowing
AutoSoft Online is activated with an activation file valid for a set term — one, two or three years, depending on what you bought. While it is valid the program keeps running on the computers where it is already installed, exactly as it does today. We are not switching anything off.
The desktop version is no longer sold, and maintenance time is no longer renewed. There are no more updates, fixes or support for it. What we do still issue is your activation file: if your prepaid maintenance time is still active and you move to a new computer, write to us through the contact form with your serial number.
Since maintenance time is not renewed, this is the way forward once yours ends. Customers, vehicles, service history, parts and inventory come with you. You do not start from an empty database.
How the migration works
It is free. You request it through the contact form once you have subscribed and your first charge has gone through — that is, after the trial. A technician replies by email with the instructions, and the migration starts when you send us the backup of your desktop program. It takes 24 to 48 hours depending on the volume of data. If some files are damaged, we cannot guarantee that 100% of the data comes across.
